Vintassion Seller Caroline of Jessamy Elvira very kindly shares with us some great fashion tips on wearing scarves this Autumn...  Please post comments at the end to share your views about this lovely guest blog!

I love Autumn, I think its such a romantic time of year. The leaves are so very pretty. It's time for open fires and the evocative smell of wood smoke, but my greatest love and indulgence at this time of year is hot chocolate. To sit by an open fire and sip hot chocolate is heaven.

It's time to wrap up warmly, it's time for scarves.

Black and White Patterned Scarf

A monochrome scarf adds style and drama to an outfit in the shades of Autumn. Don't just tie at the neck, but twist and use as a belt, or even wear turban style, to show off the unusual black and white pattern and honeycomb border. Use imagination to indulge in the trend for modern monochrome.

Black Scarf with Bright Flower Pattern

A scarf such as this with a bright, distinct pattern can again be used in many different ways. This vintage scarf is silk, so is warm and soft as well as pretty. Vintage scarves often have a romantic appeal. I have just planted bright pink cyclamen in my garden and they look so vibrant and cheerful, like the pattern on this scarf.

Pretty Flowery Scarf

Not all vintage scarves are bright and dramatic. Many have gentle muted colours. Very lady like. A scarf like this would add a stylish touch to a classic shirt or blouse worn with jeans, or a business type suit.

Vintage Paisley Scarf

Shades evocative of Autumn can be seen in this scarf of traditional paisley pattern. Paisley is always popular, always in fashion. Tying a scarf like this to the handles of your handbag gives the perfect vintage style twist of a finishing touch.

I enjoy Autumn chills and warm, sparkly fires. I enjoy Autumn colours of trees, the glowing berries and walking through the fallen leaves. I love taking pictures of the many flowers that are still flowering at this time of year, such as chrysanthemums, dahlias and cyclamen. Pictures of some of these flowers can been seen on my Pinterest page - www.pinterest.com/jessamyelvira

With imagination, and a love of vintage accessories, a stylish individuality can easily be achieved with any outfit, day or night.
