Vintassion Seller Caroline of Jessamy Elvira very kindly shares with us some lovely ways to share Christmas joy with vintage sparkle... Please post comments at the end to share your views about this lovely guest blog!
I so love the sparkle of Christmas, I love the excitement and anticipation of Christmas, buying and giving presents, and how meaningful a present is when it is chosen with love and care for a specific person. Vintage is ideal for this. If you buy vintage sparkle you can match it up with a person’s character – you will also be sure it will be a unique gift, and will be treasured as a special present chosen with love. Also, vintage jewellery has a quality that most mass produced jewellery simply cannot match.

Vintage Tea Party
However with artistic use of not quite perfect vintage pieces one can make a unique display for your Christmas party. You can bring whatever theme you wish to your Christmas party, especially if you are having, for example, a vintage party, or a girly Christmas tea party. It gives you the chance to bring lots of lovely sparkle to these special occasions.

Vintage Christmas Cracker Gifts
Another lovely idea is to make your own Christmas crackers which you can fill with a special vintage surprise of a sparkly brooch or pearl necklace. Remember it’s not only us girls who like to be surprised, many men would love a special vintage gift from you chosen with love. You can buy cufflinks or tie clips for men.

A lovely idea is to use long ribbon for Christmas cards, fastened with sparkly jewellery to hang down a wall. You could also use vintage jewellery to decorate your Christmas tree. White ribbon ties with sparkly brooches at the centre, or clip on earrings look absolutely wonderful.

Napkin tied with vintage lace
Search out some Winter flowering blooms – there are still some around at this time of year. Napkins tied with vintage lace and adorned with a vintage jewel and some Winter greenery or flowers would make a lovely table display. Some vintage pearls or bead necklaces can be bought at a very reasonable price, and if these are wound around a table napkin and fastened with a vintage bauble it gives a distinctive, unique look to your dining table. Buttons could be sewn onto strips of lace, or just threaded with pretty twine or string to make charming napkin ties.
Enjoy vintage browsing and use your imagination to turn pretty vintage treasures into modern decorations. Give your Christmas your own special style and sparkle to reflect your unique personality and your joy in Christmas.
