Tewkesbury is a haven for vintage fans as well as the perfect touring base for the Cotswolds...

...so if you have the opportunity to take a short break or a day trip, you’ll find this riverside market town crammed with interesting historical buildings housing antiques. In fact you’ll discover a treasure trove of vintage finds at every turn...

...visit Ruth at Replay Vintage in Church Street or pick up vintage style clothing from Retro Attire next door to complete your retro look.  Antique hunters will love the Vintage Antique Centre, the White Rose Gallery, Gainsborough Antiques, as well as Cornell’s Antique Bookshop. The town boasts no less than a dozen quality charity shops, perfect for vintage fans on a budget.  Break Vintage charity shop exclusively stocks retro and antique pre-loved items in the high street and you are warmly invited inside to enjoy a nostalgic step back in time.

We suggest you plan your visit to coincide with Tewkesbury’s popular Vintage Fair on either 11 April or 19 September.  Located in a stunning music hall setting, the George Watson Hall in Barton Street, it’s a really befitting venue to complete your nostalgic experience.

Entry is free and you’ll find a buzzing vintage market place packed with stalls to satisfy even the most avid vintage fan.  Live musical entertainment is provided by the beautiful vintage belle, Betsy Harmony, singing all of your old time favourites from the big band sounds through to the swinging 60’s. There will be a Lindy Hop Dance Demonstration with Gary and Sara Boon, while cream teas and homemade cake will be on offer from the pop up vintage tearoom decorated with bunting and flags.   The vintage fashion show starts at 3pm.  More information available from www.tewkesburyvintagefair.co.uk and www.visittewkesbury.info
