Uncovered - Oyster and Pearl Vintage Fairs 22/04/2015
Now in their second year Oyster and Pearl Vintage Fairs are looking forward to their first event on Sunday 26th April, as is everyone in Whitstable, Kent -- it's been a long Winter without vintage goodies to buy...
Oyster and Pearl Vintage Fairs came about because organiser Yve has a love of all things vintage and after dipping her toe into the vintage fair circuit she was bitten by the bug!! It gave her the perfect excuse to keep shopping as she didn't have to keep everything she purchased!
Oyster and Pearl aim to bring a wonderful mix of quality vintage and handcrafted goods to the beautiful Kentish seaside town of Whitstable. For those who haven't visited Whitstable before it is easily reached by train from London (only 1 hour 15 mins on the high-speed service from St Pancras) or it is accessible from the m25 / a2 / m2. Whitstable is famous for oysters and independent shops so it is a great place to visit for the day.
Each fair has a mix of vintage clothing and jewellery, kitchenalia, books, furniture and much more, the handcrafted items include locally knitted and crocheted items, upcycled vintage fabric made into lovely soft furnishings, lovingly rescued furniture and a selection of artwork from talented locals...
Their fairs can be found at the Umbrella Centre, Oxford Street doors open at 10am and it's FREE ENTRY - vintage loving dogs are also welcome (no need to leave them outside) - here's all their 2015 dates...
