Uncovered - Rose & Brown Vintage 05/08/2015
|Enjoy reading this follow-up Guest Blog by wife and husband Caroline & Julian Brown of Rose & Brown Vintage who are delighted to be bringing you a Summer of vintage fun this month with vintage fairs held at the request of both Leeds Museums & Galleries, and Bradford Council. So get your Sun Brolly ready...|
|On Sunday 9 August, we're holding our first vintage fair at Lotherton Hall in Aberford, near Leeds. This is part of Lotherton Hall's Fabulous Fifties Fete, an event which celebrates the opening of the Hall's Fashion Galleries and their debut exhibition on 1950's fashion, 'The Age of Glamour'. The Fete runs from 11am - 4pm and will feature the vintage fair, with 20+ stalls of vintage fashion and homewares, plus live bands playing favourite rock'n'roll tunes, dancing, vintage cars, juke boxes, a 50's style milk bar and lots of games for the family. The vintage fair includes quality vintage fashion stalls covering all eras, jewellery, records (including a specialist dealer in 1950's 7" records), cigarette cards, kitchenalia and other homewares.|
Lotherton Hall is a fabulous place to visit - with a beautiful Edwardian House, a superb bird garden, deer park, cafe and gorgeous grounds - plus of course the Fashion Galleries.
So the Fabulous Fifties Fete and our vintage fair are a great excuse for a fun day out where all the family can have a good time! Normal Lotherton Hall admission fees apply.
We'll be back in Saltaire in September with our most well-established event, the Saltaire Vintage Home & Fashion Fair (19 & 20 September), and then returning to Whitby Pavilion for our October Seaside Vintage Fair - the vintage fair with a sea view on 10 & 11 October. See our previous Vintassion guest blog about how we have been spreading the passion for vintage with our Fairs in West Yorkshire since 2007!
